Interactive musical laser installation

FOREST is a giant artwork composed of 151 ‘trees’ made of rods, lasers and responsive sound devices.

The installation invites to actively explore almost 450 square meters of this sensorial world. When entering the FOREST the audience automatically senses the desire of physically tapping, shaking, plucking and vibrating the trees. Each touch of a tree triggers sounds and lasers. The active participation creates swinging and oscillating movements, which originate patterns of lights on the ceiling and simultaneously harmonious sounds.

FOREST is a scalable, tourable interactive installation and an unique spatial experience.

Interactive three-dimensional light room

8.064 individually controllable LED points are suspended from the venue´s ceiling forming a complex 3D grid of 8m x 4m. The installation is designed to be flexible enabling the artist to creatively react to local circumstances such as the architecture and overall size of a venue.

Stepping into this magical world full of lights, the audience fuses with the environment and explores intense feelings of presence and movements within physical space. The programming of the installation follows a screenplay with increasing tension, leading to a final climax. Motion capturing sensors enable the guests to interact with the mysterious choreography of lights by walking through the installation.

A light sculpture

MIMOSA is a beautiful, small light sculpture combining simple components: 70 industrial lamps equipped with 100 watt light bulbs surround a tripod like petals the stem. Each luminary is controlled separately by a live VJ — various light combinations are possible. MIMOSA offers a warm ambience with slow changes of light intensity and 720 degree light effects. Bright strobe lights are also possible thanks to MIMOSA’s power of 7 kilowatt. Several MIMOSA sculptures in a range of heights — up to 2,50 meters — are able to take over an entire floor and animate the audience from above.

MIMOSA was originally created for the ‘construction party’ at KAFFEEMITTE Monbijou.

A kinetic light installation

U-BIJOU embraces 30 unique luminaries, distinguished by simplicity, quality and elegancy. An U-shaped glass pipe is connected to a black metal counterpart hosting the light technique, which thereby is becoming completely invisible. The lighting fixture is connected to a DMX controllable rail system. Integrated motors are able to reel the light objects individually in and out, creating different formations on the ceiling of the room. The light objects can be centered forming a classical chandelier or they can also be spread over the entire ceiling immersing the whole space into a desired atmosphere.
The light technique is based on the PIXL SYS developed by Pink+Gruen. This supermodular, small, lightweight, bright and DMX controllable LED module is very convincing in its effectiveness. The PIXL lights with full RGB colour illumination enables users to create endless variations in light control.

U-BIJOU was created as a permanent installation at KAFFEEMITTE Monbijou. The installation can be customized depending on your individual ideas.

Mobile coffee shop

KJOSK is a combination of your favorite corner shop and a café on wheels.
Wherever it stops, what ever it brings – you will enter a place like home, being embraced by childhood memories and the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Located within a Berliner double-decker bus from 1965, Rosmarie Koeckenberger designed a variable microcosmos of cosiness which conquers every heart and redefines any place. The bus is fully equipped with the infrastructure of a coffee shop, being able to serve drinks and food and to host its guests in a relaxed atmosphere on the first floor. The bus can be booked with its colorful inventory pending on your desires or as an empty space to be filled with your ideas.

Interactive artwork

CRYSTAL is a ‘digital campfire where people physically meet to share stories’.
The artwork comprises 700 small LED crystal rocks placed on a magnetic field. The CRYSTALS illuminate in response to human contact. The installation transforms the active participation of visitors into a key factor of this artwork. Once visitors start adding, moving, sharing or even taking CRYSTALS, the rocks light up and change their basic breathing. The lighting behavior of the crystal rocks moves from ‘excited’ to ‘bored’, keeping visitors curious.

This installation offers an intimate experience – a dialogue between light and perceiver.

Light room installation

kubik is a light room installation that connects light, space and sound in an urban setting, in both a sustainable and unique way. Since 2006 this synaesthetic concept has appeared as illuminated sculptures, night clubs and floating eye-catchers worldwide over 26 times. The concept is simple: sophisticated light technology is combined with prefabricated, sustainable items. The installations are temporary and easily transportable. The architectural possibilities are endless! The creators of kubik are experienced, detail-loving and offer full service production.

Morphing light art installation

MEMBRANE is a large-scale illuminated glass cube offering an outside view into the infinite universe. This walkable room structure hosts a light object made out of mutually facing spy-glass mirrors and foil mirrors attached to an air tank and a compressor. Inner edges of the cube are traced by luminescent tubes creating an illusion of a limitless light grid locked in the vertigo of its own multiplication. The hypnotic power of the illuminated space induces a state of mute fascination. When the flanking machine is turned on, the (de)compressed air-tanks deform the foil mirrors of the cube producing alternate convex and concave planes, morphing into a range of surface phenomena similar to graphic ornaments.

A supermodular hanging light installation

PIXLHELIX is a colorful light object appearing in different shapes. The core element of this light installation is the PIXL, a very effective DMX controllable LED developed by the Berlin–based artist duo Pink+Gruen. Each PIXL illuminates an unique body – the DIAMOND. The artists offer the possibility to produce customized luminaries for specific projects. The PIXL is a flexible system allowing a wide range of hanging constellations to correspond with its surrounding. PIXLTREE, PIXLHELIX or PIXLSNAKE appear like vivid organisms through dynamic light shows.

„It feels like raining diamonds“
